Liability

Seems everybody likes to sue, so I will give you up front my liability statement:
I'm not responsible for what you do, or what happens to you.

Most people who hike or backpack know that you don't put your life in someone else's hands and you always stay capable of complete self-sufficiency no matter what happens. So, if you follow my hike directions, get lost and have to sleep in the cold for a couple of days, your lack of preparation and self-sufficiency isn't my fault. Don't put your life in my hands!

Privacy Statement

To enhance your privacy I try to do technical stuff to keep the search engine robots away. That means, if I'm successful, robots won't comb this site looking for your name and email address. (My technical skills in this area are pretty limited, so that's a pretty big "if".)

The only time I ever share your personal information is if you send it to me, and then what I do with it is I tell my boyfriend over dinner "Hey, I got an email from my web site today from somebody..."

Terms of Service

I have put out a bunch of info on trails in the area for you to read and enjoy, but don't be deluded into believing I have any power over how you use (or misuse) the information. There are also community areas (a message board) that have the following rule: I get to delete anything I want for whatever reason I want at my whim. That's why they call me the Web Mistress.

Posting Guidelines

If you do post something on the site, I really appreciate it! But, if I don't like it, off my site it goes. Please write about hiking, trails, and your wilderness experiences, not other unrelated stuff. Oh, and I may at some time in the future just get rid of the message board, so don't get too attached. Especially if anybody abuses the site.
