Devil's Canyon Trail Directions

Devil's Canyon Trail

From Santa Barbara Mission...

Get on US 101 going southbound by taking Laguna St. to Mission St. (toward the ocean).

Turn right on Mission St.

Follow Mission St. to the freeway and take US 101 south.

Take the Lake Cachuma/Highway 154 exit. Follow signs to Highway 154 and turn right on to 154.

Head up the mountains and down the other side.

Turn right on Paradise Rd. There is a brown recreation sign before the turn. Set odometer and measure 9 miles.

Follow Paradise Rd. crossing the river several times and passing several campgrounds and picnic areas. There is a ranger station along the way where you may be able to purchase an Adventure Pass, and one or two kiosks that can sell you the pass, too. You will need an Adventure Pass to park your car.

After 9 miles, park your car at the big Oak tree in the road, next to the concrete bridge on the left, and across from the iron gate on the right.

Park the second car 1.7 miles further on Paradise Rd. after the last creek crossing in the Red Rock parking area.

The trail begins at the metal gate across from the concrete bridge and oak tree in the road where the first car was parked. The hike ends at Red Rock where the second car was parked.
